Don and Gloria Kimmel were acknowledged by former District Governor Roger Baumann for their most gracious gift to The Rotary Foundation.
The Kimmel's donation placed them in the LEVEL 4 ($100,000 +) category of donors. Roger pointed out that only one other couple in the District is a LEVEL 4 donor.
We join Roger, The District, and all those benefiting from the Foundation around the world in thanking the Kimmels from the bottom of our hearts.

The meeting continued with a talk from Mike McCarthy on the ROTARY FOUNDATION, highlighting its current activities in 31 countries around the world.
The Foundation strives to build peace, fight disease- eradicating POLIO worldwide-, participate in clean water projects, support mothers and children, promote education- Mike noted our club's Spanish-English Dictionary project, and supporting growth opportunities in local economies.
92% of donations goes directly to funding projects, with 2% to admin and 6% to promotion. Funding goes 50% to local projects and 50% worldwide.
He pointed out that there are several ways to donate.
