Itโ€™s time to talk Turkey!๐Ÿ๐Ÿฆƒ
Last year we were able to help 75 families with a turkey and a freshly baked pie from Kriebelโ€™s bakery, 60 senior citizens with a Valentine treat and 25 low income residents with a ham or chicken at Easter because of your wonderful donations to the Turkey drive.  We are hoping to be able to partner with some other organizations this year to help the ever growing need in the Norristown community.  Asking for donations to the Rotary Club of Norristown so we can help the hungry.   Please remember there have been no lunches to buy or 50-50 during this entire year!   Thank you for your generosity.

CAN YOU COOK?
Jim Hollinger is now back at home , and Judy Bucko is organizing meals for the family during his recovery.
If you would like to help out, please read Judy's request below:

Looking for cooks!
The Hollinger family (4) could use a break from cooking meals while Jim rehabs at home!  They like everything but do need gluten free!  Let me know if you can help 610-513-2431.  Judy Bucko

Bicycle Drive Shipment 10/4
We ended our 2021 Bicycle Collection Drive last Monday.   We met with Pedals for Progress at GL Sayre's and transferred our collection of 47 bicycles destined for foreign lands. These will become family transportation for those where they have no automobiles for family convenience.

Pictured on the left is the team from Pedals for Progress, Gary Michel and Alan Schultz  and on the right President Scott Wright and Dave Shoemaker.
Net cost for the project to the club, $90 to cover some costs for shipping 18 PD bicycles.

Bicycle Drive Ends Oct 4th

Technical Tip: Keep my gmail out of promotions
        But, It's NOT Spam.

Is some of your expected gmail missing from the Inbox?

Aside from regular spam filtering, sometimes Google also takes  a guess at your incoming gmail and pre-categorizes it in order to cut down on spam. The Tabs 'Social' and 'Promotions' capture some of your email instead.
Well, Google doesn't always get it right.

Fortunately, even though that is the default setting, you can change the setting and control your pre-categorization completely and get all your mail back in the old inbox.
YOU can select select the problem email in 'Promotions' and drag it to the inbox,  OR....
A more reliable way is to control your own categories  or  simply have none at all.  If you uncheck the 'Social" and 'Promotions' categories in settings, your future email will not appear in those virtual folders but rather in your old inbox as expected.

Here's what you do to fix it.
Go to your inbox settings link. https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/inbox
Uncheck the boxes 'Social' and 'Promotions', AND CLICK SAVE
From now on it will appear in the old inbox as expected.
