CAN YOU COOK?
Jim Hollinger is now back at home , and Judy Bucko is organizing meals for the family during his recovery.
If you would like to help out, please read Judy's request below:

Looking for cooks!
The Hollinger family (4) could use a break from cooking meals while Jim rehabs at home!  They like everything but do need gluten free!  Let me know if you can help 610-513-2431.  Judy Bucko

A FINANCIAL PLANNING COMMITTEE BEING FORMED

A new (temporary) committee is being formed to look at the following issues:

Bookkeeper/accountant
Dues scale
Use of Foundation funds

Volunteers are needed to help Scott, Dave S & Judy with this.
We may invite Tim and Mary to participate, also.

Contact Scott to join the project

                      LOOKING FOR THE CLUB CALENDAR?
Dave Shoemaker has made it easy to find

I have switched the calendar page in our website to show the google calendar for "norristownrotary.org".

There has been some confusion over calendars in the past. From now on, the google calendar is the only one. I have told Sunanda about the change. She only needs to edit one calendar.  ( although the future is rather empty at the moment, different issue ).

No one is required to login to clubrunner to see this. They just search for or go to "norristownrotary.org" and click on the calendar page. Editing the thing requires logging into the club's google account.

Hello Rotarians,

This is a recap letter of the Rotary Rebound: S.T.A.R.T. Now! campaign. Hopefully, you have tried some of the ideas in my previous 5 letters.  If you did, Rotary thanks you.  If you didn’t, then please read the highlights below and give one or more of them a try.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.
  • Talk about the good Rotarians do.  Rotary clubs here and around the world have done amazing things to help people in need.
  • Ask just one person to attend your next club meeting.  Your friend or neighbor may be looking for a way to contribute to the community and Rotary may be the answer—just ask!
  • Have two members approach a candidate together. He/she will feel special knowing they would be an excellent fit for membership in your club.
  • Talk about membership at all of your club meetings.   Talk frequently about membership and you will be more likely to bring it up to others outside of your club.
  • Every person you talk to is a potential member.  Ask family members, work associates, past members or previous club visitors, church friends and networking groups.  They are everywhere!
HURRY!  TIME IS RUNNING OUT FOR DISTRICT 7430’S NEW MEMBER INCENTIVE
FOR EACH NEW MEMBER ADDED BEFORE APRIL 30TH YOUR CLUB WILL RECEIVE $100.00.

The most important practice I can leave you with is this:
S.T.A.R.T.
Simply Talk About Rotary Today

Have a great spring!

  • Specific nuances and traits of each style you are tasting
  • Opportunity to ask our Wine Educator questions.
  • Suggested pairings for the wines sent prior to tasting
  • Live virtual tasting from the Gloria Ferrer Vineyard - link to be sent to registered email address

What to Expect from this Virtual Wine Tasting…

Come for the great wine, but stay to hear how ShelterBox is providing shelter to families who have lost their homes due to disaster (and doing so amid a pandemic).

Deadline to order your wine package is April 23rd for NJ and April 30th for all other applicable states.  Learn more and purchase your tasting kit today at: https://givebutter.com/sips_for_ShelterBox.  This event is open to everyone; please share with others you know would enjoy this unique experience!
