Last week the Club welcomed our District Governor, BOB HOBAUGH to address our meeting. Bob, accompanied by Area 9 Coordinator, CLINT EHLERS, outlined the goals for the District for this year.     Bob stressed this year's theme of Serve To Change Lives, and listed several steps on how to accomplish this. We need to look for ways to change not only ourselves but others by looking for new and innovative ways to serve the community.Partnering with others is one way, which we do in our Turkey Dinner, Advocates Against Hunger projects, and Dictionary Projects. Bob use analogies to sailing (see card below on an upcoming program) to present steps we can take to advance club projects. 1-Chart your course, ,2 -Set sail, 3- enjoy the trip.
He outlined how a club like Norristown can expand its reach by selecting projects that follow the ROTARY guidelines, setting measurable goals and the steps to reach them, sharing our accomplishments with the community in print, social media, and other advertising, and expanding our membership. He pointed out the need to recruit younger members by 'closing the deal' on the membership process, which involves all of us.
He left us with the message " Service Can Be Transformative" and it is up to us.

Thank You Bob for visiting our Club.
