'Little Libraries' Painting Party

Alan will be hosting a painting party at his home at 390 Rittenhouse Blvd, Halford Track.

Anyone interested in learning how to use a paint brush is welcome.

Wear your smock or old clothes, bring your lunch. Appropriate painting music, paint and brushes will be provided.

The ROTART CLUB OF NORRISTOWN was present at the Norristown Area High School awards ceremony.
Members Fred and Ruth Hagglund awarded $2500 to each of four deserving students.

Make Your Club Dues Payment by Major Credit Card
Below is the link for any Norristown Rotarian who wants to pay their dues with a credit card. Follow these steps.
- Click the link below. A block will appear titled Biannual Dues, click on it
- Another block will appear. Leave the quantity as 1 and click on DONATE.
- It will automatically show your dues plus a $4.75 service charge biannual dues which includes the credit card processing fee.
- Click on the ? next to: help cover fundraising cost, and at the bottom of the explanation, click here
- A new window will open, and at the bottom you can click on I'd rather not contribute at this time. This will change the donation amount too zero

CHRISTINE STUTMAN- MAMI Montco
 
 
CHRISTINE STUTMAN,  - NAMI
 
 
Last week the Club welcomed CHRISTINE STUTMAN, Executive Director of NAMI Montgomery County. NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Health, is one of the largest grassroots orginazitions in the U.S. concentrating on supporting those suffering with mental health difficulties. 
Their's is a local chapter of a national orginazition with each chapter acting on its own for local projects. Christine relates how their chapter works to add special interest groups to their agenda such as the recently added support group for women's veterans. They also present training for volunteers , special community education classes such as how to deal with crisis when it occurs, and they also present workshops.
NAMI works with 13 area high schools with 60 min presentations on 'what is mental health', and maintains what they term a "warm line" where people can call in with questions or want to talk about specific problems.
NAMI Monto has a staff of 5 full-time workers and handles around 10,000 cases a year. The often partner with other local organizations like Laurel House to carry out common goals, and have a program-NAMI in the Lobby, where they set up in various clinics and offer supplemental assistance to the patients that a visiting the clinic.
