Auto Dealers CARing for Kids
Mary Lynn Alvarino, CFO of the Auto Dealers Caring for Kids Foundation, visited and spoke about the Foundation sponsored by the Auto Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia and 190 new car dealerships in the 5 county area.
The Foundation raises most of their funding from the annual Philadelphia Auto Show and the associated Black Tie Tailgate Preview Gala but solicits private donations as well. Their major causes support the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania as they donated 6 million dollars this year to help support the hospital. Another project they operate annual is their Children's New Coat Program which purchases new winter coats for 516,000 local children mostly Pre-K which began in 2008. They also sponsor the annual Auto Technology Competition for high school seniors and provide scholarship opportunities for members. For more information see their website More Than Dealers.
